Sports Park, Coalinga, California

Scope of Work:
Coalinga Sports Park is a 60 acre site designed to accommodate the recreational needs for the City of Coalinga and the surrounding area. At the east end are two college level soccer fields serving West Hills College and an outdoor amphitheater with a capacity for 400 people. A skateboard park and BMX track are located to the east of the drainage creek. The center of the park has two parking lots with 375 parking stalls. Surrounding the parking areas are three Little League fields, three softball fields, six tennis courts, a racquetball complex, batting cages, and a splash pad and play equipment area for young children. Three youth soccer fields are located in the upper northwest corner. Family picnic areas are located to the south of the parking and in the open space between the two travel avenues running diagonally through the center of the site. A botanical garden is featured in the southwest portion of the park.
Arroyo Park, Davis, California

Scope of Work:
A large community park with a swimming complex and community center as its centerpiece. The "arroyo" for which it gets its name from, is a dry creek that is used as an outdoor teaching classroom on native plants and animals.
Central Park, Davis California

Scope of Work:
As part of a revitalization effort for the park, a courtyard plaza was integrated to provide connectivity between the existing youth center and the new farmer's market pavilion. The new park design also consists of drought-tolerant landscaping, with the open space grass area serving as a temporary water collecting basin.
Mission Oaks Plaza, Business Park, Visalia, California

Scope of Work:
A design challenge consisted of designing a landscape plan that would integrate with the series of Spanish-styled office buildings. The main building of the complex consists of a courtyard turn-around plaza with a central water fountain.
