(PCE) was founded by Ed Dunkel, Jr. whose family has provided Civil Engineering and Land Surveying services for more than 55 years that have resulted in completed projects that reflect our commitment to excellence and dedication. PCE is an established, full-service firm, and has a history of providing comprehensive and sustainable solutions on a wide range of complex projects and issues.

As Precision Civil Engineering, Inc. (PCE) approaches its 20th anniversary, founder and CEO, Ed Dunkel Jr., celebrates two decades of growth and success with a simple philosophy: treat clients and each other with the same level of dignity and respect that we would like for ourselves.
Respect, honor, and integrity are core values embedded in the quality of work at PCE, and our team takes great pride in the fact that we have been designing the Central Valley and beyond for 20 years. Since its inception in 2002, the company has grown from 2 employees to 50, with offices in Fresno and Merced, California, Madison, Wisconsin, and plans to expand to Visalia soon.
The combination of our multi-disciplinary services and our loyal client base enables us to continually accept and maintain projects from the most respected builders, developers, architects, municipalities, school districts, and other agencies. As part of PCE’s innovative outlook, building long-term client relationships has enabled continued growth as one of the region’s most diversified and dynamic firms. Attracting and retaining some of the brightest and most energetic talents in the industry further solidifies our commitment to producing outstanding and precise work.
A proud fifth-generation Central California resident, and a firm believer in what the Valley has to offer, Mr. Dunkel takes much pride in giving back to the community that has made him a successful entrepreneur.
