Land Surveying Services
How We Serve Tuolumne
Precision Civil Engineering, Inc. (PCE) serves as the Contract County Surveyor for Tuolumne County, providing a wide range of professional surveying and support services that assist both County staff and the public as a trusted extension of the County’s team. In this role, our team conducts detailed reviews of records of survey, parcel maps, final maps, lot line adjustments, tentative maps, tentative subdivision maps, and corner records to confirm accuracy and full compliance with County and state requirements. We also support planning and engineering staff by preparing staff reports, reviewing building permits for survey consistency, and participating in public hearings related to minor subdivisions, ensuring that land use decisions rest on clear, reliable, and defensible survey information. This close coordination helps the County advance projects efficiently while maintaining the quality and consistency on which its residents depend.
PCE staff regularly works directly with the public by responding to research requests and providing counter assistance on designated days each month, offering an accessible, responsive point of contact for property owners, developers, and design professionals. Our field services include right-of-way staking that supports public works and development projects, tree surveys related to airport operations that address clearance and safety concerns, and volumetric topographic surveys for landfill operations and reporting, which help the County track capacity, plan for future needs, and meet ongoing regulatory requirements. We deploy modern survey technology and experienced field crews to deliver accurate, timely results across each of these specialized assignments. Through these combined efforts, PCE provides Tuolumne County with consistent, accessible, and practical surveying support tailored to the day-to-day needs of a diverse, service-oriented public agency.
