How We Serve Mendota

Since being selected as the City Engineer in March 2026, Precision Civil Engineering, Inc. (PCE) has quickly become an integral extension of the City of Mendota’s staff, providing responsive engineering leadership while expanding into planning, surveying, and comprehensive project delivery services. Through a collaborative partnership with City leadership, staff, and the City Council, PCE has established a strong working relationship built on communication, technical expertise, and a shared commitment to improving the community. Beyond traditional engineering services, PCE actively participates in City operations by attending Council meetings, management meetings, and providing technical guidance on major initiatives.

PCE has played a significant role in advancing Mendota’s capital improvement program by pursuing grant funding opportunities, preparing competitive grant applications, and developing conceptual and preliminary design exhibits that position projects for future funding. Our team is currently leading several transportation initiatives, including downtown enhancement projects, pavement rehabilitation, ADA accessibility improvements, Safe Routes to School infrastructure, and coordination with Caltrans Local Assistance on projects along State Routes 33 and 180. PCE also provides engineering support for construction of the new Mendota Community Center while managing multiple transportation and infrastructure projects from planning through final design.

As the City’s needs have evolved, PCE has expanded its services to include planning and surveying, creating a seamless project delivery model. Our planning team is leading the City’s Municipal Service Review, supporting rezoning efforts, and assisting with long-range growth planning to ensure infrastructure and land use decisions align with Mendota’s future vision. This integrated approach allows projects to progress efficiently from funding and planning through surveying, engineering design, preparation of quality Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E), construction management, and project closeout.
